1. Acceptance of these Terms

Welcome to Zayd. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Zayd mobile application and the services offered through it — food and grocery delivery, online shopping, and (when available) ride-hailing (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About the Service

Zayd is a marketplace platform operating in Ethiopia. It connects you with independent restaurants, shops, pharmacies and other merchants ("Vendors") and with independent delivery and ride providers ("Providers"). Zayd itself is not the seller of the goods you order and is not the operator of the vehicles you ride in; Vendors and Providers are responsible for the goods and services they supply.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must register with accurate information, including a valid phone number, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials private.
• One person may hold only one customer account. Zayd may suspend accounts involved in fraud or abuse.

4. Orders, prices and payment

• Product prices, availability and descriptions are set by Vendors and may change without notice. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
• Delivery fees, service fees and any minimum-order amounts are shown before you confirm an order.
• Payment is currently made by bank transfer to the accounts shown in the app. Your order is confirmed once our team verifies your payment proof. Cash on delivery, where offered, is settled directly with the courier.
• Uploading forged or altered payment proof is fraud and results in immediate account termination and may be reported to the authorities.

5. Delivery

• Estimated delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, weather and Vendor preparation times may affect them.
• You must provide an accurate delivery address and be reachable on your registered phone number. If a delivery fails because we cannot reach you, the order may still be charged.

6. Cancellations, refunds and returns

• An order can be cancelled free of charge before the Vendor accepts it. After acceptance, cancellation may not be possible or may incur charges.
• If your order arrives incomplete, damaged or substantially different from what was described, contact support within 24 hours and we will investigate. Approved refunds are returned by bank transfer.
• For shop (e-commerce) items, you may request a return from the app within the return window shown on the order. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Perishable goods, medicines and personal-care items cannot be returned unless defective.

7. Your conduct

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• harass, threaten or abuse Vendors, couriers, drivers or Zayd staff;
• place orders you do not intend to pay for;
• interfere with the app's operation or attempt to access other users' data;
• post reviews that are false, defamatory or unrelated to a genuine purchase.

8. Ratings and reviews

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Zayd may remove content that violates these Terms and may suspend accounts that repeatedly post abusive or fraudulent reviews.

9. Liability

• Zayd provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zayd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
• Vendors are responsible for the quality and safety of the goods they sell, including food safety and product compliance.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ethiopian law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Zayd may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, commit fraud, or abuse the Service, with notice where practicable.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always available in the app. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Ethiopia.
